Accelerating In Style With The Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero
Forget The Price, Get Down To The Engine And Luxury
When popular rap star Bryan “Birdman” Williams ordered a Maybach Exelero he sat back on his table and wrote a juicy, whopping, massive check of $8 million. He had just added another pricey possession to the Veyron and a Landaulet sitting back in the garage.
The iconic and special Maybach Exelero was built in cooperation with tire producer Fulda. The rationale behind this cooperation was that the tire maker was looking for a car that would hit beyond 350km/h. It wasn’t the first time such an experiment was happening as way back in the 1930s, a Maybach model creation specially made as a test car for Fulda.
But the Maybach Exelero is not your ordinary luxurious cruise but a car that is sophisticatedly built with elegance and first-class highlights all around. Being a high-end limousine material quality in every aspect is so thoroughly executed that there is little room for small mischievous behaviors. It has a massive weight of 2.66 tons and would be, in another world, a small van.
With a V12 engine that carries 5.9 liters displacement, this huge road monster produces 700 hp/515 kW. With such power, getting to the 350 km/h top speed is a minor feat.
When such machines grace our world, it sets a higher benchmark for the next creation. Gladly, from Mercedes, we have seen grand improvements on the Maybach series, with each production pushing things higher than the previous.
