We’ve talked time and again about cars that come into life and live a legacy that has no equal. Actually, one might argue that almost every car maker itches to ensure that every car out of the production line gains this honour. Unfortunately, this is not practically achievable, although every manufacturer has an opportunity to make history with ingenious creativity once in a while.
But cars such as the extraordinaire Ferrari F40 managed to come, see and conquer. The year was 1987 when Ferrari developed this car to celebrate its 40th anniversary. At the time, what rolled out of the factory was one of the juiciest,speediest,powerful and most handsome car of the day dudbbed the F40. Ferrari had planned to do about 400 units but ended up creating more than 1200.This car also became the last new car presentation graced by Ferrari’s founder Enzo Ferrari.That is how the F40 write its eternal history.
This would also become Ferrari’s first production built mainly and primarily on composite materials, with 11 body panels finally making the beautiful body in the end.
