Italian Spruced SUV Maserati Levante Vulcano Is Daring Europe
Maserati Offers Stylish SUV With Speed
In an attempt to boost sales of its first ever SUV, Maserati is launching a new stylish special edition version of the Levante dubbed the Vulcano. Production will be limited to just 150 examples in Europe and Asia.
An immensely distinguishing factor for the Maserati Levante Vulcano is the exclusive matte “Grigio Lava” finish and a Nerissimo style pack. This option adds several black exterior accents including dark rear light clusters, black chrome front grill and logos, glossy black window surrounds, body-colored door handles, and burnished exhaust tailpipes.
The luxurious Italian SUV proudly wears 21-inch wheels featuring a matte finish, five-spoke design, and red brake calipers. Rear privacy glass rounds out the exterior upgrades.
The powertain is equally spruced. It will be available with two tunes of the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 that provides buyers with either 345 horsepower (257 kilowatts) and 368 pound-feet (499 Newton-meters) of torque or 424 hp (316 kW) and 427 lb-ft (579 Nm).
This means that buyers can’t get the special touches with the Levante’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 in variants like the 590-hp (440-kW) Trofeo or 542-hp (404-kW) GTS. It would not be giving it undue credit to say that the Levante Vulcano is appealing the same way most special editions are appealing in modern times.
It boasts exclusive touches in the exterior. There’s enough glossy carbon fiber trim throughout the cabin to give it another layer of premium material goodness.
The steering wheel, center console, and gearshift paddles are dressed up nice and tidy with the glossy carbon fiber trim. Last but certainly not least is a chrome Vulcano badge, which is the number one identifier of the Levante Vulcano’s stature as a certified special edition Maserati.
