Radical Super Car Design On The Hulme CanAm Spyder From New Zealand
Wish It Could Come Back To Life
The Hulme CanAm Spyder or simply the Hulme is not even anything close to your ordinary supercar. It is as unusual and exceptional as a supercar can get.
Built as an all-carbon-fiber roadster, it carries a V8 mid-mounted engine that is capable of pulling 600bhp. It marks New Zealand’s point of entry to the league of supercar makers.
Among the obvious things, you will take note of is that it is roofless, has no windscreen and was built to be as light as a sports car can get, even though it’s still quite long and wide. This car belongs to the class of vehicles you would throw money into just to see the project come back to life.
When its creators introduced it to the world, they promised it would do 700bhp using an LS9 V8 engine that is supercharged. The designed had borrowed heavily from the Hulme F1 car of 1967, a car that had in its own magnificence taken the world of motoring by surprise.
Although there was never any tangible results or even report on the Hulme CanAm Spyder in later years, it had the prospects of amazing and amusing car enthusiasts with its unique engineering design and radical approach.
